Judge to Nnamdi Kanu: No bail for you

On Tuesday, Justice Binta Nyako of the Federal High Court, Abuja, rejected a bail application sought by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu.

Justice Nyako’s explained that she could not grant the fresh application, having earlier rejected the previous bail in the same matter. He advised the separatist leader to appeal her decision, if he may so wish.

Kanu is facing a seven-count charge of treasonable felony and terrorism-related offences.

Kanu’s fresh trail began after the Court of Appeal nullified his previous prosecution and decided to set him free.
