Jude Bellingham overtakes Cristiano Ronaldo record at Real Madrid
Jude Bellingham has overtaken Cristiano Ronaldo’s record at Real Madrid after scoring in their 3-0 win over Cadiz on Sunday.
The England international found the net with an excellent finish with 16 minutes remaining as Carlo Ancelotti’s side resumed their league campaign with a victory following the international break.
Bellingham has made an immediate impact since his €103 million (£88.5m) move from Borussia Dortmund in the summer with 14 goals in 15 appearances so far for Madrid.
And by scoring against Madrid, he becomes the only player for the club to score more than 13 goals in their first 15 games.
Bellingham’s latest achievement also puts him ahead of other Madrid legends including Ferenc Puskas, Raul and Ronaldo, who all scored fewer than the 20-year-old midfielder after 15 games.
Bellingham will be hoping to extend his scoring run in the Champions League on Wednesday when Madrid host Napoli at the Santiago Bernabeu, says Metro in its report.
