Middlesbrough send Manchester United out of FA Cup

Middlesbrough FC have sent Manchester United out of the FA Cup, following a win on penalties.

Middlesbrough knocked Man Utd out by 8-7 on penalties. It is feared Man Utd trophy drought might stretch to six years, except they win the Champions League.

Anthony Elanga missed a vital spot-kick in front of the Stretford End.

Matt Crooks’s 64th-minute strike that levelled out Jadon Sancho’s opener was controversial as it came courtesy of a Duncan Watmore accidental handball.

Cristiano Ronaldo missed a penalty and also other missed chances by the Utd. team.

It was Middlesbrough first win against Utd, since 17-year ago.
