Jonathan not our member, but a big fish – APC chairman

The All Progressives Congress has acknowledged former president Goodluck Jonathan’s political status, describing him as “a big fish.”

Dennis Otiotio, the chairman of the Bayelsa state chapter of the APC, said so, according to a report.

Otiotio also debunked the report that the former president had joined the APC. According to him, Jonathan could only join the ruling party if the national chairman, Abdulai Adamu grant him a waiver.

“I think the person you people should be asking the question is the national chairman of the party. He should be the one to grant him (Jonathan) waiver.

“As of now, he has not officially joined our party. Ask the national chairman if he has granted him a waiver.”

The state APC chairman, however, described Jonathan as “a big fish and an elder statesman”.
