In Picture: Peter Obi meets EU envoys

Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) is meeting with European Union ambassadors and heads of missions.

In his entourage to the meeting is former presidential aide Dr. Doyin Okupe, who the LP substituted with Dr. Datti Ahmed as Obi’s running mate.

Obi, a former governor of Anambra state, in Nigeria’s southeast, has so far garnered wide appeal, especially among social media-savvy youths. His supporters have taken on the moniker, Obi-dient. A former chairman of Fidelity Bank, Obi is also into importation of consumables. This his critics argued is contrary to his promise to boost industralisation, especially manufacturing of local products.
