House of Reps takes position on rising kidnapping in FCT
The House of Representatives has deliberated the spate of kidnapping in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
At the plenary on Wednesday, Hon. Nnamdi Ezechi, in his motion, urged the lower parliament to get security agencies to urgently tackle the situation.
Ezechi cited the killing of a certain legislative aide, Chris Agidi, by kidnappers and similar cases like it.
The lawmaker expressed concern for the safety of all residents of the nation’s capital and urged the security agencies to take action.
After the debates, the House of Representatives adopted the motion and referred it to its committees on Federal Capital Territory; National Security and Intelligence; and Police Affairs.

The Cornet had reported, on Wednesday, the kidnapping of eight women in Gwombe village, in the Kuje Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
