Gym-goer electrocuted while running on treadmillÂ
A gym-goer has been electrocuted while working out on a treadmill during a fitness session.
The victim, Saksham Pruthi, was a BTech graduate, the India Today reported.
The 24-year-old Indian, who worked for a construction company, collapsed soon after he got down from the treadmill.
Saksham was rushed to a hospital, where doctors certified him dead on arrival.
A post-mortem carried out on his corpse revealed electrocution as the actual cause of death.
The police subsequently charged the gym owner with two counts of negligence.
The victim’s mother recounted his last moment at home before he made the fatal decision to visit the fitness center.
“He ate an apple and left for the gym at 6 am. Later, we received a call informing us about the incident. I want justice for my son,” the grieving mother, said.
