Group alleges imposition in Oshodi/Isolo constituency primaries

A group, under the auspices of the Oshodi Progressives Movement (OPM), has alleged imposition during the All Progressives Congress primaries for Oshodi/Isolo constituency in Lagos state.

The party’s electoral committee had declared Ladi Ajomale the winner of the primary election. But, in his statement sent to TheCornet, OPM leader Taofeek Owoseni claimed the chairman of Oshodi/Isolo Local Government Area, Kehinde Oloyede-Almaroof imposed the declared winner.

Equally in the scheme with Oloyede-Almaroof, according to Owoseni, was Musiliu Akinsanya (MC Oluomo).

He stated that the two APC leaders merely installed “their lackey as the winner of the Assembly Election”.

The group claimed it has petitioned “the appropriate quarters on the ugly incident”.

“We have studied the events and we have concluded that unless these two personalities are stopped from controlling the political space in Oshodi and allow the free will of the people to prevail, we will begin to experience some unpalatable but avoidable developments,” Owoseni warned.

The group seeks the intervention of party leaders including Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and Asiwaju Bola Tinubu.
