Fubara’s election upheld

The Court of Appeal has upheld the election of Governor Sim Fubara of Rivers State.

The three-man panel of justices unanimously ruled that Fubara’s election complied with the Electoral Act and duly returned as the winner of the poll.

Four other governorship candidates had petitioned the court against Fubara’s election.

They are Tonye Cole of All Progressive Congress, Beatrice Itubo of the Labour Party, Innocent Ekwu of the Allied People’s Movement, and Lulu Briggs Dumo of the Accord Party.
