Foremost jurist Bola Ajibola dead

A foremost jurist, Bola Ajibola, has died, aged 89 years.

The former minister of justice and attorney general of the federation and one-time jurist of the International Court of Justice, Hague, passed on on Sunday.

He was Nigeria’s justice minister between 1985 and 1991; he was judge of the ICJ from 1991 to 1994, and Nigeria’s ambassador to the United Kingdom from 1999 to 2002. He was also a former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA).
