Arase updates Wikipedia after inauguration as PSC chairperson
Solomon Arase updated his Wikipedia after President Muhammadu Buhari appointed him the chairperson of the Police Service Commission (PSC) on Wednesday.
Arase took an oath of office in council chambers of the Aso presidential villa. The former inspector-general of police, who spent 14 months in office, had once headed the criminal intelligence and investigation bureau of the police office.
A graduate of the Ahmadu Bello University, and, University of Benin, hails from Owan West in Edo State.Â
Arase took over as PSC chairperson from retired Justice Clara Ogunbiyi, who acted after the unceremoniously exit of former inspector-general of police Musiliu Smith. The commission sees to the promotion, disciplining, and welfare of members of the Nigeria Police Force.
