Father rapes daughter to death, blames it on porn
A father has allegedly raped his eight years old daughter to death. He was arrested after the victim’s mother reported to the police and had her hurriedly buried corpse exhumed for examination.
The incident happened in the Central Java area, in Semarang, Indonesia.
The authorities said the unnamed suspect, 41, lived alone in a kost(boarding home) and often had his three children, including the victim, over for a visit.
The suspect was alone in his kost on March 18, with the victim sleeping.
The police said he had “the desire [to rape] when he saw his daughter had fallen asleep watching TV. ”
The child had seizures following the rape and the father decided to take her to a nearby clinic, where he was told to take a nearby hospital.
Doctors at the hospital pronounced the girl dead upon arrival.
Her body was buried as soon as possible as per local customs. Her grave was exhumed on March 19 after her mother reported her suspicions towards her estranged husband to the police.
An examination revealed wounds consistent with sexual abuse on the victim’s body.
Police arrested the father, who not only confessed to raping the victim on March 18, but on two previous occasions in the past two weeks as well.
In a police press conference for the case, the suspect said, “I often watch porn. The desire emerged when she was sleeping. I did not threaten her.”
The suspect has been charged with sexual abuse under Indonesia’s Child Protection Law and he is likely to be sentenced to death.
