Atiku, Wike end ‘cold war’, meet in Abuja
Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and his former challenger, Governor Nyesom Wike, may have resolved to end their ‘cold war’.
A report claimed both politicians met quietly in Abuja, Nigeria’s federal capital on Thursday.
It is believed the meeting aimed at a solution to their disunity after Wike lost the presidential ticket and, later, the vice presidential candidateship of the main opposition party.
The meeting was kept away from the public glare, and neither Atiku nor Wike has confirmed it held.
Channels television, quoting credible sources, said the duo met at the residence of Professor Jerry Gana, a member of the PDP Board of Trustees.
