Tinubu announces fresh appointments into agencies, parastatals

President Bola Tinubu has appointed new chief executive officers of agencies and parastatals that fall under the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment.

Hussaini Ishaq Magaji is to head the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC); Afiz Oluwatoyin is now chief executive officer of the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), while Kamar Bakrin takes over as head of theNational Sugar Development Council (NSDC).

At the same time, Olufemi Ogunyemi, is appointed as chief executive of the Nigeria Export Processing Zone Authority (NEPZA); Nonye Ayeni is to direct the affairs of the Nigeria Export Promotion Council (NEPC); and Aisha Rimi takes control of Nigeria Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC).

Others are Kamar Bakrin, for the Oil & Gas Free Zone Authority (OGFZA); the Small & Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has Charles Odii as its head, while Ifeanyi Chukwunonso Okeke takes over the Standards Organisation of Nigeria (SON). The Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria (FRCN) has Rabiu Olowo as the chief executive; Anthony Atuche will now head the Nigeria Commodities Exchange (NCE), while the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex (LITFCMB) has Veronica Safiya Ndanusa as its head.

Lucia Shittu takes charge of the Tafawa Balewa Square Management Board (TBSMB),while Oluwemimo Osanipin is now chief executive officer of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC).

Ajuri Ngale, President Tinubu’s media adviser, said the appointees are urged “to optimally deliver in accordance with new key performance indicating benchmarks as established by the Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade and Investment.”
