‘Latest Owo incident a shootout, not terrorist attack’ (see photos)

The purported terrorist attack that took place in Owo, Ondo state on Wednesday was a shoot-out between yet-to-be identified persons, according to a source.

This is contrary to the media reports that the incident was a terrorist attack.

The shoot-out took place at the Craneburg Construction Company, in the town.

Two persons sustained gunshot injuries from the gun duel and they have been admitted to a hospital.

Television Continental correspondent, Ayodeji Moradeyo, said the casualty figure could not be ascertained, but the injured were admitted to the Federal Medical Center, Owo, for treatment.

The journalists shared pictures of expended ammunition and another night-view picture of a slain man.

Owo had witnessed a massacre of some churchgoers almost two months ago. About 40 members of the St. Francis Catholic Church lost their lives to the then terrorist attack.
