APC sets up fresh cmte. to review Buhari’s approved zoning formulae
The All Progressives Congress, APC, has announced the composition of a fresh committee to review the zoning arrangement already approved by President Muhammadu Buhari.
TheCornet had reported that governors belonging to the APC, last week, met and agreed along with President Buhari on the modalities for sharing party offices along geo-political zones. This was in preparation for the party’s national convention, scheduled to hold on March 26.
But, the APC, on Wednesday tapped Kwara State governor AbdulRahaman AbdulRazak to head the fresh committee. Senator John Akpanudodehe, the national secretary of the APC Caretaker and Extra-ordinary Convention Planning Committee, CECPC, named the committee which also has Senator Ovie Omo-Agege, the deputy president of senate, as its deputy chairman.
Other members are Nkem Okeke, the Anambra Deputy Governor who would serve as the Secretary, as well as Professor Etim Nyong, Mustapha Salihu, Senator Teslim Folarin and Sadeeq Sule-Iko Sami.
Akpanudohede said the committee was expected to submit its report to the APC leadership on Monday, March 7.
This medium gathers that some governors within the party are unhappy with the already fixed arrangement and are bent on having it re-jigged.
