Another bride kidnapped on her way to matrimonial home

Some criminals in Niger State have kidnapped a bride while she was being conveyed to her husband’s house, a report said.

The latest incident comes a week after two brides were similarly abducted in the state.

TheCornet gathered that the wedding ceremony took place in Allawa Community, in Shiroro Local Government of Niger, while the matrimonial home is located in Pandogari town, in Rafi Local Government Area.

But, while the bride was being conveyed, criminals who had laid ambush for them swopped on the bride and some well-wishers and ferried them to an unknown destination.

This medium cannot ascertain whether the suspected kidnappers have contacted the family to make any demand.

The kidnappers were said to have similarly taken some villagers from Gyaramiya community of the state and rustled cattle too.

The police are yet to issue any formal statement on the latest kidnapping incidents.
