Police in Delta after suspected murderer

The Nigeria Police Force, Delta State Command, has declared a manhunt for a suspected murdered, identified only as Orunor.

The suspect, who is a carpenter, allegedly beat his apprentice to death.

Bright Edafe, spokesperson for the police command, said in a media enquiry, that the suspect fled after committing the crime.

“The carpenter is currently at large, and the police are making efforts to arrest him,” he stated.

According to report, the suspect’s victim, similarly identified only as Onome, was an apprentice under him.

The suspect was said to have physically beaten Onome for reporting to work late. The victim’s parents were said to have taken him to a hospital due to his condition after the physical beating he received from his boss.

Onome however succumbed to his ill-health. Hearing of his passing, the boss, Orunor, fled.
