Airline disclaims Dangote’s son-in-law after justifying Deborah Samuel’s death
Azman airline has disclaimed Jamil Abubakar, a son-in-law of Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote following his comment on the honorific killing of Deborah Samuel.
Islamic extremists killed Samuel, a student of Sokoto College of Education, for allegedly blaspheming Prophet Muhammed.
Nigerians, believing Jamil was still Azman Air, criticised the organisation for having a religious bigot in its employ.

But, dissociating the airline from Jamil, Azman Air released a statement to inform Nigerians that the pilot had ceased to be their staff since 2019.
“PUBLIC NOTICE: Capt Jamil Abubakar is no longer a pilot @AzmanAir; his last flight with us was 22nd Dec 2019,” Azman Air said in a rebuttal tweet. “We refuse to take responsibility for a comment or view of a former staff. The general public should kindly take note.”
