20-year-old Delta man found with 4,054 wraps of cocaine, 954 wraps of heroine

Edea Samuel, 20, has been arrested by the police after he was found to possess 4,054 wraps of cocaine and 954 wraps of heroine.

Bright Edafe, spokesperson for Police Command, Delta state, said this in a statement he issued on Monday.

According to Edafe, a special police unit, named the Eagle-Net Special Squad, arrested the suspect during a patrol, along the Asaba Ogwashi-Uku Expressway.

He stated that the patrol team intercepted the commercial transport on which Samuel was travelling. Upon a search, the officers discovered the illicit drugs in the suspectā€™s traveling bag.

On May 17, officials of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) arrested a suspected drug baroness,Ā Bridget Oghenekevwe Emeka at her sprawling mansion in Delta state.

The suspect, the NDLEA said, makes and distributes crack cocaine, methamphetamine and other illicit substances. She is believed to be the major supplier of hard drugs in the region and has a network of couriers, mostly young men, who peddle the drugs.
