Suspect’s confession exposes human parts trade in Ogun

A suspect, Ifasoji Ayangbesan, has confessed to interrogators about a human parts trade in Ogun state. The police had arrested the suspect and his conspirators for ritual murder.
The law enforcement said Ayangbesan and one Lukman exhumed a corpse from a graveyard and decapitated the same.
However, Ayangbesan denied taking place in the dismembering of the corpse but admitted to buying a pair of legs severed from the corpse.
The police claimed the suspects murdered the victim on January 28, 2023. They equally accused Ayangbesan of offering a bribe of N1million to the police to prevent his arrest.

Equally, the police paraded 11 others at their Eleweran headquarters in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state.

He said, “I bought the two fresh human legs, but I was not involved in the murder of the victim. I was approached by my friend, Lukman, who told me he had a pair of legs to sell.”
