Striking doctors call off strike
Striking members of the Nigerian Association of Resident Doctors have called off their nationwide strike. The body’s grouses include inadequate doctors, payment of residency allowance, and a demand for salary raise.
The body is also against the national assembly bill aimed at preventing doctors and dentists migrating from Nigeria until five years after their graduation.
Dr Emeka Orji, NARD’s president, said suspended their strike, staring Monday, April 22 and urge their members to return to work.
Orji added they gave the government till June 2 to meet their demands. The doctors
