President Bola Tinubu’s son, Seyi, has feted winners of a basketball tournament organized in his honour. The first son reportedly donated N5 Million in cash and other gifts to the winners at the tournament, held in Jos, Plateau State. The finals of the tourney saw the Dogon Dutse Warriors trumping its rival, Tudun Wada Lakers 32-30.
Representing Seyi Tinubu, Engineer Auwal Ibrahim lauded the organisers and stressed the positive impact the tourney would have on the local community.
“Plateau State is gradually regaining its former glory as the home of peace and tourism, and this tournament is a testament to the potential of the region.
“We must recognize that sports have the power to bring people together, regardless of their background or beliefs,” Auwal said.
The organisers of the Seyi Tinubu Basketball Championship said the event resonated with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which touches on empowering youth, fostering inclusivity, and building a more united and prosperous nation through innovative initiatives.
