Man bags four years jail for having sex with goat
A man has bagged four years jail sentence for sleeping with a goat.
According to Zambian Observer, the man, identified as Thokozani Tchalesi had sex with the goat in a bush.
The owner of the goat found out and reported the matter to the police.
The suspect was arrested and he confessed to the offence during interrogation.
The police subsequently arraigned Tchalesi before the First Grade Magistrate’s Court in Ntchisi on May 11.
During proceeding, the prosecutor, Sergeant Virginia Kasiya said Tchalesi had carnal knowledge of the goat on May 3, 2022 at Mkhako village in the district.
Tchalesi pleaded guilty to the charge and asked the magistrate for leniency.
In her submission, the prosecutor prayed for stiffer punishment as a deterrent to others involved in the act.
The court in its ruling sentenced Tchalesi to four years imprisonment with hard labour.
