It was a bleak Christmas Day for those who lost their lives in the different auto crashes. Six people perished and 10 others wounded in an auto crash that occurred in Bauchi State. An official comment on the incident states that one of the tyres of the ill-fated bus burst while in motion. The casualties were taken to the Abubakar Tafawa Balewa Teaching Hospital for treatment.
Equally, in the north, five persons lost their lives to an accident that occurred
along the Kaduna-Abuja highway. The deceased comprised one adult, two women and twin brothers. The authorities said over-speeding by the drivers might have led to the collision that resulted in the deaths.
Down South, In Ogun State, an accident led to the death of three persons on Sunday, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway.
Florence Okpe, the FRSC spokesman in Ogun State, said that “six persons sustained various degrees of injuries, while three persons were recorded dead. There are survivors from the crash, she said.
