Sales attendant steals bosses’ ATM card, withdraws N2.3m
A sales attendant, Goodness Innocent, reportedly stole an Automated Teller Machine card belonging to her boss and withdrawing N2.3 million from the latter’s bank account.
Addressing the Ebute-Metta Chief Magistrate’s Court, during Goodness’ arraignment on Wednesday, police prosecutor, Inspector Cyriacus Osuji, said the 21-year-old Goodness committed the offence along with others who are yet to be apprehended.
He said the victim, one Kehinde Odiye, reported the incident took place on July 16, 2023, around 5pm, at No. 168, Awolowo Road, Ikoyi, Lagos State.
The prosecutor said that the offence contravened Sections 411 and 287 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State of Nigeria 2015.
After listening to the prosecutor, the Magistrate Olanike Olagbende granted the defendant N1m bail, with one surety in the like sum.
