Aide upbraids social media influencer over ‘Sanwo-Olu’s grave’

Gboyega Akosile, an aide of the Lagos state Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has upbraided a social media influencer, Tunde Ednut, for attributing ownership of a grave belonging to a certain Sanwo-Olu to his principal.

Ednut, an internet celebrity, who has 4.1m followers on Instagram, had written under the post: “Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu may have secured a place for his final rest, where he will be buried after his death.”

H added: Peace Ighodalo, a certified environmental scientist and even (sic) manager stumbled on an empty vault at the Ikoyi cementery when she went there for a burial.”

Enraged by the post, Akosile, who is a special adviser to Governor Sanwo-Olu, expressed his displeasure on his X account over the attribution. The post had gathered 25,087 likes based on the screenshot posted by Akosile.

This is the height of irresponsibility. This character @mazitundednut needs to schooled (sic) on how to be a responsible media practitioner …How on earth can he, in his warped mind think that any “Sanwo-Olu” you see is unquestionably Babajide Olusola Sanwo-Olu, the Governor of Lagos State. Using the Governor’s photograph here is nothing short of irresponsible behavior and fishing for trouble.”
