Mohbad’s widow denies court order as father-in-law presses on with requestÂ

Wunmi, the widow of late singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, has said she is not privy to the order of an Ikorudu Magistrate’s Court on her father-in-law’s Joseph Alina’s request for a DNA test.

TheCornet reports that the court on Wednesday reportedly granted an order of substituted service on Wunmi through her last known location.

Joseph’s lawyer, Emmanuel Okoro, reportedly lamented the bailiffs inability to serve Wunmi and applied instead for a substituted service.

Wunmi however denied knowing about the court order. Speaking on her behalf, her counsel Taiwo Olawanle said he would be able to advise her properly, had he been aware of it.

“We don’t have the court order. If we have an order, we will advise her to adhere to it. That is not a problem. But we are not aware of any order. I am just hearing that from you,” he reportedly said, according to a Punch report.

The late singer’s father has persistently request a DNA to determine the paternity of the late singer’s surviving son, Liam.

While he was alive, Mohbad did not raise a doubt about being the father of the child.

The request for a scientific verification is part of the fallouts of his death, one of which was the accusation of a premeditated murder.

A Coroner’s inquest into the singer’s death is ongoing, while an autopsy report done on his corpse is yet to be released to the public.
