Nigerian singer Mish dies
Nigerian singer Mish, who made a name for himself singing in local dialect, has passed on.
Born Michael Aniekeme Meshach, Mish’s claim to fame was his hit titled ‘Akwa Ibom Ayaya’.
His death in occurred last Thursday in Abuja, but the cause of it is yet to be known.
He hailed from Obot Okoh Mbiaobong in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.
His song and style of music resonated with folks from Ibibio and Efik ethnic tribes.
The singer had performed at various events and festivals, such as the Calabar Carnival, the Akwa Ibom Festival, and the African Music Festival.
