Uzodima vows justice for slain Imo traditional rulers

Hope Uzodima, governor of Imo, has vowed killers of two traditional rulers in the state would account for their deed.

The slain traditional rulers were Eze E. A Durueburuo, Obi I of Okwudor, and Eze Sampson Osunwa of Ihebinowere autonomous community.

“The news of the attack on Traditional Rulers of Njaba Local Government Area by some hoodlums, which resulted into some casualties, came to me with a rude shock and this is a clear exhibition of wickedness and desecration of sacred stool”, said the governor.

He equally stated that the “new dimension to banditry would not be allowed to flourish on our soil.”

Reacting to the incident, Mike Abattam, the spokesperson for Imo Police Command, said those wounded during the attack were taken to hospital for treatment.
