Manhunt for gunmen who killed 3 police officers in Enugu

The police in Enugu State, Southeast Nigeria, has declared a manhunt for some gunmen who killed three policemen at a checkpoint on Thursday.

Daniel Ndukwe, the spokesperson for Enugu Police Command, reportedly said so while responding to an inquiry

“A manhunt has been launched for the attackers, ” Ndukwe said.

According to reports, the incident happened at about 1.20pm in Maryland area and close to Ulumalinda Estate, in the state capital.

The robbers were also said to have shot a woman in the leg before making away with her money.
