Incredible escape of 59 Nigerians from burning bus with doors locked

The police have confirmed the astonishing escape of 59 travellers, who were attacked by robbers, along the Oke Ado junction on the Ijebu-Ode/Ore-Benin Expressway.

The robbers had attacked the luxury bus conveying the passengers from Lagos State to their destination.

The robbers disembarked the travellers and dispossessed them of their valuables, after which they marched them back into the vehicle, locked it up and set it ablaze.

Seeing that their attackers had left the scene, the brave travellers smashed the windows from where they escaped the arson.

“The vehicle was coming from Maza Maza before it encountered the hoodlums. No reference to the gun was made.

They carried cutlasses,” Omolola Odutola, public relations officer, Ogun police command, stated on X.

TheCornet reports that road travel has become hazardous in Nigeria, due to robbery, kidnapping, and terrorist attacks.
