Soludo says Sen. Ifeanyin Ubah’s attackers arrested
Charles Soludo, the governor of Anambra state, has said that some of the armed men who attacked the convoy of Senator Ifeanyin Ubah recently have been arrested.
He however did not say the exact number of the arrested persons.
TheCornet reports that the gunmen killed few of the senator’s aides including police orderlies in the attack that took place at Enugwu-Ukwu.
Two of the slain aides, namely Obum Ikechukwu and Goodness Mathias, have been buried.
While speaking at a private funeral event on Friday, Soludo said that “some of those involved in that attack” were arrested.
“We are still on the trail of the remaining people. We will not let people like that define who we are. This is Anambra State and we are peaceful people,” he added.
