Skit maker ‘Trinity Guy’ remanded for sexual exploitation

An Iyaganku family court, in Ibadan, southwestern Nigeria, on Monday ordered the remand of a skit maker, Maruf Abdullahi, a.k.a Trinity Guy, in Agodi correctional facility.

Maruf is charged with sexually exploiting a 10-year-old female he featured in his latest skit. Equally charged with offence of conspiracy, sexual abuse, and exploitation are the minor’s parents—40-years-old Isiaka Ahmed and his wife, Rofiat, 29.

The magistrate, P.O. Adetuyibi, declined to the take the defendants’ pleas while ordering their remand, untill July 11 when the case comes up for mention.

Maruf was shown in the controversial skit peeing and after he was done asked the minor if she saw his manhood. The video triggered criticisms, leading to the police questioning and arraigning Maruf.
