INEC fixes presidential election for Feb.25, 2023

The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has said presidential election would now hold on February 25, 2023.

INEC Chairman Professor Yakub Mahmood stated this during a media briefing on Saturday, in Abuja.

He also said national assembly elections would hold the same day.

INEC had said previously that it was waiting on the outcome of the Electoral Act Amendment bill. President Muhammadu Buhari only on Friday assented to the bill.
