Hisbah arrests 19 youths at gay wedding in Kano

Hisbah, a religious police operating in Kano, northern Nigeria, has arrested 19 youths at a gay wedding.
Daily Trust is reporting that the Hisbah operatives were tipped off about the gay wedding between two males, identified as Abbah and Mujahid.
The two same-sex lovers are reported to have fled on sighting the operatives at the venue.
According to Harun Ibn Sina, the Commander-General, Kano State Hisbah Board, 15 females and four males were arrested at the venue of the gay wedding.
Ibn Sina said that the organizer of the event, 21-year-old Salma Usman is currently in their custody, adding that the board would intensify efforts at arresting Abba and Mujahid.
The Commander-General stated that those apprehended would be handed to the police for necessary action.
