Three arrested for kidnapping in Adamawa

Three persons have arrested for kidnapping in Adamawa State, Northeast Nigeria.

The suspects, namely Auwal Mohammed (28), Isa Umaru (40), and Rabiu Mohammed (19), are said to be hunters who have been terrorising different communities in the state.

Sulaan Nguroje, superintendent of police, said the trio were arrestedin Girei and Fufore Local Government areas respectively, both located within the state.

Nguroje, who speaks for the police command, said the law enforcements recovered from the suspects one motorcycle, locally-made pistols among other things.

“Investigation so far reveals that the suspects betrayed the trust repost in them by the community members of protecting lives and property, went ahead supplying food items and other basic needs to their fellow kidnappers around that area,” the statement said.
