CAF: Big wins for Nigeria as Osimhen, Oshola bag best players awards

Nigeria has won big at the Confederation of African Football (CAF) awards night holding in Marrakech, Morocco.

Nigerian international Victor Osimhen won the CAF men’s footballer of the year, while Asisat Oshola went away with the Women African footballer of the year award.

At the same time, the CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award went to Chiamaka Nnadozie.

Other winners are Morocco boss Walid Regragui, who won CAF’s Best Coach of the Year for the men’s category. His ability to lead his country to a historic World Cup semi-final run in Qatar earned him the award.

Also, Senegalese sensation Lamine Camara got CAF Young Player of the Year award, while reigning champions of the TotalEnergies CAF Champions League, Al Ahly were awarded the Club of the Year award.
