‘Double Lion’, Anambra feared “unknown gunman”  killed by security operativesÂ

A hybrid team of security operatives and local vigilante has killed a notorious criminal terrorising Ihiala and other parts of Anambra state.

The dead suspect, identified by his moniker ‘Double Lion’, led a terrorist group and operated a camp in Orsumoghu, in Ihiala Local Government Area of Anambra state.

According to security-centric news portal Eons Intelligence, the suspect, along with many of his accomplices killed during the raid, operated under the guise of  ‘unknown gunmen’.Â

Orsumoghu camp of the terrorists, the portal said, “was the major settlement of the unknown gunmen in Anambra State until late when the government started operations to flush them out of the state.”

TheCornet saw an undated video in which bodies of the slain suspects were being conveyed in Pick-up vans, accompanied by security operatives with residents cheering them on.

There have been sustained raids by a joint task force of the department of state security, Army, and police on criminal hideouts in the state.Â

The killing of scores of terrorists in Orsumoghu is seen as a major success for the Anambra State Government following its resolve to rid the state of criminals.

The state has for several months witnessed a regime of terror by terrorists and their unlawful killing of security operatives and citizens.
