Court upholds Adeleke’s candidacy for Osun governorship

Ademola Adeleke is the flag bearer of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), a court has ruled.

A PDP governorship aspirant Dotun Babayemi had challenged Adeleke and the PDP.

Babayemi argued that he was the authentic candidate of the party, having emerged from a parallel primary he claimed was the authentic one.

In his ruling, Justice Nathaniel Emmanuel of the Federal High Court sitting in Osogbo dismissed Babayemi’ suit.

The judge also nullified the primary election that produced him.
