APC picks Gobir for Senate Majority Leader post

Ibrahim Gobir has been nominated the Majority Leader of the Senate.

Adamu Abdullahi, APC national chairman, named Gobir for the post in a letter he wrote to the president of senate, Senator Ahmad Lawan.

Lawan read Adamu’s letter to his colleagues during Wednesday’s plenary.

Gobir will be stepping into the position exited by Senator Yahaya Abdullahi.

Abdullahi decamped from the ruling party to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, after he lost out at the APC governorship primaries for Kebbi state.

He is believed to have a political disagreement with Kebbi Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
