Catholic priest kidnapped

The head of Saint Anne’s Parish in Sarkin Kudu Ibi, Wukari Diocese, Taraba State, Reverend Fr. Thaddeus Tarhembe, a Catholic priest, has been abducted.

The gunmen broke into the priest’s home on Sunday and took him to an unidentified place, according to a press release issued by the Diocese’s director of communication, Rev. Fr. John Jerome Laikei, and signed by the bishop, Most Rev. Mark Nzukwein.

In a similar vein, on Saturday night, four persons were abducted in the vicinity of Winners’ Comprehensive School in Jalingo. It was discovered that the attacker broke into the home and took a housewife, her two daughters, and a housekeeper with them.

The three are still being held captive by the abductors, but the housekeeper, a girl, was freed.
