Umuahi grabs APC senatorial ticket after failed presidential bid

Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state has been declared winner of the Ebonyi South. Umahi made a failed gambit for the presidential ticket of the All Progressives Congress.

He however made a poor showing at the presidential primary election that Asiwaju Bola Tinubu won.

Umahi is said to have won the senatorial rerun, which appeared to have been pre-arranged between the APC national leadership and the candidate. The initial senatorial primary was son by Umahi’s brother, Austin.
