Three sentenced to death for killing Afenifere leader’s daughter

An Ondo State High Court sitting in Akure Friday sentenced three persons believed to be the killers of Mrs. Funke Olakunrin, the daughter of Afenifere leader Reuben Fasoranti to death.

They are Awalu Abubakar, Muhammed Shehu and Adamu Adamu.

The trial judge, Williams Olamide found the trio guilty of murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.

The deceased Olakunrin was murdered while traveling along the Benin-Ore-Shagamu Expressway, in the Ore Odigbo Local Government Area of the state, in June 2019.
