Massive fire guts Moscow shopping mall, one dies

A massive fire has broken out at a shopping centre in the north west of Moscow after reports of “explosions” were heard.

According to a report, the fire is believed to have started on the roof of the Mega Khimki retail centr, with thick plumes of smoke seen billowing up into the sky.

The roof of the shopping mall collapsed, while authorities confirmed one death.

The Russian federation is yet to say what caused the fire. It couldn’t not be ascertained if the blaze has a link with the Russia-Ukraine war.
