Singer Portable arrested

Habeeb Okikiola, better known as Portable, has been arrested by the Ogun state police command. Premium Times in a report said the police command had confirmed the singer’s arrest to the medium.

TheCornet had previously reported that Portable resisted arrest during the week when some police officers showed up at his bar.

The operatives had told Portable about a petition written by a citizen against him. The petition reportedly said the singer and his boys visited his studio and beat him to a stupor.

However, the singer resisted arrest and created a scene. Following his conduct, Abimbola Oyeyemi, the spokesperson for the command, issued a 72-hiur ultimatum for the controversial singer to turned himself in. Oyeyemi said he would be arrested if he fails to do so.

Weighing in on the incident, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, the force public relations officer, condemned Portable’s unruly conduct in a tweet. He said Portable would be prosecuted if he is found to have committed a crime.
