Indian man beheaded for blasphemy Prophet Muhammed

Tension continues to rise in India’s Rajasthan state after two Muslim men beheaded a Hindu man for blaspheming Prophet Muhammed.  The slain man has been identified as Kanhaiya Lal – a tailor.

The two Muslim fanatics reportedly entered Lal’s shop, pretending to be customers. The duo suddenly murdered Lal while he was taking their measurements. The two men decided to post the video of the killing to the internet, thereby sparking wide protests and condemnation against Lal’s murder even from Muslim organizations.

The All India Muslim Personal Law Board called the incident “highly condemnable”, adding that it was against both Indian law as well as Islamic strictures.

“Nobody can be allowed to take the law into their hands and declaring someone a criminal and then murdering them is a highly condemnable act,” the board said in a statement.

Following the disturbances, the authorities decided to shut down internet services and ban gatherings in the state. Residents have been told to stop sharing the video of the grisly murder.

The police also said they have arrested the two men who identified themselves as Lal’s killers.

Before the killing, Lal had allegedly put up a social media post supporting a politician Nupur Sharma, who made controversial comments about the Prophet Muhammad last month.

Her comments sparked a diplomatic row with several Islamic countries registering strong protests with India
