Ghana’s concertgoers angry as Wizkid disappoints
Concertgoers, who turned up in their hundreds to watch Nigerian Afro-beat singer Wizkid perform at the Accra Sports Stadium in Ghana, were disappointed as he failed to perform.
The fans had waited for 12 hours for the superstar but had to leave the stadium at about 4am in the morning, angry and disappointed.
What surprised many is that Wizkid himself had publicized the show in a tweet but still failed to show up at the venue.
The fans knew Wizkid would not be performing when his official disc jockey, DJ Tunez shouted, “Promoter fucked up”.
A multimedia journalist, Nneka tweeted on the development.
“About 5000 people stood waiting for an artist and he decided not to show up. The authorities should intervene.
He should be banned and the organizers should be sanctioned. It’s rather distasteful,” she tweeted.
However, some of the angry fans were consoled by the performances from other artistes including Gyakie, Efya, and Darkovibes.
