Former senate president buries mother

Senator Ahmad Lawan, the immediate past president of Senate, will be burying his mother on Sunday, October 15.

A statement by Lawan said the deceased Hajiya Halima Daja, died in Gashua, Yobe State, on October 14. Daja was aged 86 years.

“Funeral prayers will, thereafter, be said for the deceased at the Gashua Central Mosque, located in the Emir’s Palace.

“Senator Ahmad Lawan appreciates the outpouring of love and support already received from friends, relatives, and colleagues,” according to the  statement.
