Atiku wins PDP presidential primaries

Atiku Abubakar, Nigeria’s former vice president has emerged the winner of the Peoples Democratic Primaries held at the MKO Abiola International Stadium, Abuja.

Atiku is now to face off with the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress and those of other parties in the 2023 general election

The serial presidential hopeful polled 371 votes to beat Rivers State, Nyesom Wike, who scored 237 votes.

Bukola Saraki had 70; Sam Ohuanbunwa – 1; Anyim Pius Anyim – 14; Udom Emmanuel – 38 votes; Bala Mohammed – 20.
